Sizzling Summer Nights with @JustRomanceMe - Sexy Snippets from Tara Quan

Welcome to JustRomance.Me's Sizzling Summer Nights hop. If you came upon this post by accident but would like to join in the fun, the banner to the left will let you start at the beginning. There are lots of ebooks up for grabs, and the Grand Prize is a Kindle Fire. The live drawing and chat will be on Sunday, August 3rd at 7PM Eastern.  By the way, I'm running my own separate $25 Giveaway right now. The final day for entry coincides with the end of this hop, so be sure to scroll all the way down to reach the widget at the very bottom.

Warm weather and tropical thunderstorms provide excellent opportunities for characters to act naughty (or for authors to be creative, if you want to get technical). Without further ado, below are some sexy snippets to highlight the sizzling potential of summer nights.

A few keystrokes allowed Zack to enhance the high definition feed and zoom in. A light coating of condensation blurred the reflection by a fraction, but the open doors allowed most of it to dissipate. The reflected image was clear enough to make out shapes and colors.
The footage presented a profile view of Maya lying in a bathtub. Since he could only make out her face, neck, and left arm, he didn’t see an immediate need to cease and desist. Her head rested against the tub’s lip, cushioned by her long, dark hair. With her eyes closed and lips parted, he couldn’t tell if she was conscious. What if she had slipped in the shower and hit her head?
He cranked up the microphone’s sensitivity. The great thing about modern-day computers was their much-improved capability to process audio and video. As soon as she made a sound or moved, he’d stop watching.
A soft, throaty moan crackled over the speakers. Her left hand lifted in the air before clenching over the side of the tub. Her back and neck arched.
“Shit.”
Slapping down his laptop screen, Zack leaned back against the leather headrest and massaged his temples. Struggling not to draw any conclusions, he muttered, “Don’t go there, man. Just don’t go there.

Kal splayed his hand over the back of Michelle's head. She parted her lips to ask him where this would lead. But before she could make a sound, his mouth closed over hers.
She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been kissed. Even if she did, his mastery would have turned the memory to cinder. She faced a man, not a young boy experimenting with teeth and tongue. Instead of the comfortable joining of lips between two people more friends than lovers, he drowned her in a tangle of silk and steel.
His tongue delved. She closed her fingers over his broad shoulders before trailing them down his triceps. One of his hands cradled her nape as the other  spanned her back. The contact melted her muscles. With his arms snaked around her body, she felt captive even though she sat on top.
She should be in charge. She should be taking the lead. Instead, his mouth set the rhythm and pace, guiding her through the sensual dance she only now realized she had barely known.
She reminded herself this was just a kiss—a single, sumptuous, seemingly endless kiss that threatened to turn her brain to mush.

Fed up, Nulli lifted her free hand and jabbed her finger into Jason's chest. “I’m not some wilting Victorian debutante you need to protect. Don’t get all old-fashioned on me now. What I can or cannot handle is my call—in bed and out. If I’m not comfortable with something, I’ll say kalaas.”
“I can live with that.” Sensing the heat behind his words, she noticed the top two buttons of her shirtdress were undone. They were less than an inch apart, and she could draw a straight line from his eyes to her cleavage. She wasn’t certain if it was logic or lust that changed his mind, but the result was the same.
With an exasperated laugh, she shook her head. Men were so predictable.
“That’s a sudden gear shift. You should have told me all I needed to do was flash you. I could have avoided that awkward conversation altogether.”
His answering smile was a mix of chagrin and resignation. “If you knew how to use your assets, you’d be the death of me.”

Hopefully I've managed to entertain you thus far. Thanks for joining us on JustRomance.Me's Sizzling Summer Night. Happy Hopping!
