Having only just broken my audiobook virginity not too long ago (*cough* Submissive on Display *cough*), I can totally get behind this short writing tip from Lea Bronsen. It should come as no surprise that she has an audiobook to promote (yes, all this word repetition is making my inner editor cringe as well). Write as if your book might be released in audio, because you never know!
The reason I'm advising this today is that I wrote my contribution to this anthology in response to an eBook submission call, and it wasn't until a few weeks prior to release that I learned it would come out in audio, too. If I had known earlier, I would have written my story in a much more direct, spoken style, with shorter sentences and less prose! lol, lesson learned. I still hope my listeners will enjoy the book! ~ Lea Bronsen

If lucky, I might even meet a handsome Frenchman with whom to spend Saturday night. I’m single, have been for the past few months, and at twenty-three, the lack of sex for such a long time is driving me half-nuts. An interlude with a local hotness on one of the warm beaches of Sables sounds like an irresistible idea. Yes, a beach, or any other public place. The eBook I’m reading features a heroine getting the fuck of her life in an open park at night against a tree in full view of passersby. I want that kind of excitement, too. The three boyfriends I’ve had in the past few years were good in bed but not daring enough. I yearn for someone to do something crazy and a little forbidden with me, in public visibility. Surely, that hint of dangerousness, the possibility of being caught by the authorities, should increase the sexual experience—and our orgasms—tenfold.

For now, I’ll have to do with checking out the cute Maghrebian controller while waiting for him to examine my ticket. Row after row, he walks the narrow aisle toward me, distributing polite smiles to the passengers and answering questions. Tall and broad-shouldered, he has the looks and build of a soccer player. A black tribal tattoo appears below the short sleeve of his purple shirt and travels down his sun-kissed, muscular forearm. Beneath his gray cap, he sports a short buzz cut, and two or three days’ worth of black beard stubble covers his cheeks and chin, just enough to make him…oh, God, immensely sexy. With full lips, a strong nose, and black olive-shaped eyes, he’s a gem of North Africa, an exotic, roughly polished jewel. He would definitely fit in my fuck-on-the-beach fantasy.

“Let’s take care of our cowboy.”

Before Shane could protest, Carson gripped his hip and held tight while he pounded into Shane’s ass. Shane turned red. He grunted and strained. What did it feel like to have a thick cock up your ass? She couldn’t be certain, but she didn’t think this was new to them.

When she couldn’t stand it any longer, she squirmed as close as she could and feathered soothing kisses on Shane’s agonized ace. She inhaled the scent of two aroused men, mixed with her own scent. Needing to comfort him even as he suffered pleasure/pain, she stroked his muscled arms and his sweat-covered chest, whispering words of encouragement to them both.

When Carson roared his release, Shane grabbed hold of her. He pressed his mouth to hers and kissed the blazes out of her. Seconds later, Carson rolled away and Shane flattened her to the bed.

He climbed over her, panting, frantic. He drove his shaft into her in one long thrust. Nothing held them back this time, no protesting that he wasn’t man enough. He rode her hard, fast until they both cried out.

Secondary Characters Need Stories, Too!

Thank you so much to Tara for inviting me back!

My writing tip for today is inspired by my recent audio book release. Beneath the Starry Sky was the second 1Night Stand story I wrote for the line at Decadent Publishing, and was inspired by the first one. Tamara, the heroine of BTSS was a secondary character in Celestial Seduction, Carrie’s best friend. She told Carrie of her experience with the 1Night Stand dating service. Yikes! She’s had her date already, but I hadn’t wrote it. So, I sat down to tell her story. It may have been out of order, but I wrote it.

So, if you’re ever stuck for ideas, or if a certain secondary character has tied up your muse because they want their story written, go ahead and do it.
