#NewRelease - The Gods of Probabilities - @Liza0Connor has a new #SciFiRom series!

One of my favorite genre-hopping authors (and blog content providers, due to her magnanimity when it comes to graphics) is launching a brand new sci-fi romance series. As a banner-carrying member of the SFR Brigade, I wholeheartedly approve. Without further ado....

Meet Athena...

Athena has known she was born to create the most fabulous art in the multiverses and to enchant men by her merest gaze.

While the first is working out very well.

The second goal had yet to begun. Whenever she walks into a room with crewmen, instead of falling to their knees in worship, they turn away from her. If she boldly approaches them, they scatter like bunnies fleeing a pack of dire wolves.

She sets out to discover if this behavior is her father or grandfather’s doing. First thing she discovered is that their aversion only works in person. If she calls them via the computer, they drool and grunt as their hands disappear into their pants.

Upon teleconferencing all the men in the ship, she realizes she owes a great debt of gratitude to whomever placed the fear of a God on the male crew. They all possessed fair faces, but horrid personalities, stupendous vanity, and total ignorance…and quite possibly have the crabs.

She spends nearly a billion years trying to figure out how to get new crewmember. The solution appears when her father asked for her help.

In Athena's word's (an exerpt from The Gods of Probabilities)

After ten billion years had passed and not one life form was to be found on any planet, Zousan decided he needed his brightest mind working on how to move things along.  So he called in his daughter.

“I know you love painting, but I was sent here to make a better world, and while you’ve made the galaxies gorgeous, none of the planets have life on them. Nor does any of the crew know how to make life.”

“Why would grandfather not share that?” Athena asked.

Zousan wanted to say, “Because he’s an ass.” Upon taking a breath, he softened his response since Athena still loved the pompous, overbearing jerk. “He wants me to fail at my task. He sees this as a chance to humiliate and humble me.”

Athena hugged him, dissipating his anger at once. “I’m sorry. I wish you would have told me sooner.”

Zousan blinked. “Does that mean you know how to make life?”

She grinned. “Grandfather, show me how when I was but a year old. All we need are chemicals, an electric spark, and lots and lots of time.”

Once they had established life, it got rowdy, requiring the Gods to land on the planets and bully them into better behaving beings. In the process of this education to behave better, a great deal of half-Gods were born.

Athena convinced her father to build a bigger ship so they could take on the half-Gods. From this new set of crew, surely she could mesmerize some of them into loving servants.

The Gods of Probabilities

by Liza O’Connor

The Gods require a time shifter to ensure the Path of Light reigns during the final collapse of possibilities. To speed the process of finding an Oceanic with the specific talents needed, God DNA is induced in several batches of Oceanic eggs, resulting in a generation of brilliant tiny blue Oceanic children.

One charming boy named Drogan has the ability to manipulate quantum reality in ways that will strengthen the Path of Light. Only trouble is that his gift runs a high probability of killing him and wiping out the Path of Light for good.

While the bureaucratic Gods will try to assist, in Quantum all possibilities not only can, but do happen, so the future is never certain.

About Liza O'Connor

Liza is a multiple genre author of 15 novels. A Late Victorian Series, The Adventures of Xavier & Vic, plus a spinoff, A Right to Love, is an ongoing series.    A Long Road to Love is a humorous Contemporary Disaster Romance series (5 books). She has two single books. One is a humorous, bad boys contemporary novel with ghosts, called Ghost Lover, the other is Untamed & Unabashed, a spinoff from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Now, she’s rolling out her Science fiction series (with romance & humor) called The Multiverses. The first four books are slotted for last half of 2015.  In addition she hopes, if she hasn’t dropped from exhaustion by then, to re-release a sometimes humorous/suspense thriller called Saving Casey. It’s the story of a middle-class old woman who dies and wakes up in a trust-fund teen’s body with no choice but to turn around Casey’s life, despite the many bridges the teen has burnt.

Liza would love to know: What’s your favorite genre?

#NewRelease - Untamed and Unabashed by Liza O'Connor (@Liza0Connor ), a #historical #romance

I'm delighted to welcome the lovely Liza O'Connor back to my blog today. Prolific author that she is, she has a brand new romance that should make any Jane Austen fan jump with glee.

Ever wanted to know more about Lydia Bennet? Well, Liza has a few ideas.

Welcome to Lydia’s Bennet’s Story

by Liza O'Connor

If you’ve read Pride & Prejudice, you know Lydia is the youngest of the five Bennet sisters. Like her siblings she has little chance of making a good marriage. Still, Lydia is not your typical heroine. She doesn’t cry over her hopeless future. She sets about to change it, without concern to propriety or decorum.  Lydia falls to the charms of Wickham when she’s sixteen, certain a marriage to the handsome fellow is the beginning of her fabulous life. Wickham’s many failings reveal themselves in short order and Lydia realizes she’ll have to secure a better future for them both.

Here’s a bit of detail from Pride & Prejudice that touches upon Lydia’s story.

In Pride and Prejudice, the two Bingley sisters and Darcy plotted to separate Jane and Bingley so they could convince the young man that Jane did not love him.

In Untamed and Unabashed, Lydia believes the sisters will attempt to break them up again.

Untamed & Unabashed

by Liza O'Connor

Elizabeth Bennet told her story in Pride and Prejudice. Now Lydia Bennet tells her side of her whirlwind marriage to Lieutenant Wickham. The youngest of five daughters with a pittance of a dowry and no hope for a good marriage, Lydia feared her life was doomed from the start. She learns how to set herself apart from her sisters and gain the attention of young men. She hones charm and flirtation to an art. Willing to take risks, she manages to acquire a substantial dowry and marries her beloved Wickham. Yet, her life remains on the brink until she gains the patronage of a wealthy Duke trapped in a loveless marriage.

“Lydia was Lydia still; untamed, unabashed, wild, noisy and fearless.”

—quote by Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Excerpt

Seeing his wife besotted with Wickham, David smiled and gestured for Lydia to sit. He then turned his chair so its back was to his wife. He sat, taking on a languid and bored pose. “You will let me know when they cease their tête a tête?”

She nodded. “Should I retrieve my husband?”

He smiled. “Please do not.”

“Then you do not mind he is seducing your wife before your eyes?”

David frowned at her. “Of course, I would mind such an affront. Why do you think I sit here with my back to them?”

Turning her head, she covered her mouth so she could laugh at his response. Upon regaining control, she faced him. His hungry gaze heated her entire body.

“I have missed you,” he said in the softest of voices.

Fearing tears might betray her, she leaned over the balcony and studied the crowd. “I am so pleased I am not hidden behind the pillar anymore.”

He abandoned his languid pose and leaned forward, speaking softly but with fervor. “You are not, and if all goes well, you’ll never be again.”

She smiled as she stared at the people below. Her life would be grand after all.

Xavier pulled her to him and slammed the door shut. “I am very tempted to lock you in this room until I can return and sort this matter out. Clearly you are up to something that has Davy worried.”

Vic’s stubborn expression and lack of denial worried him further.

“Do you recall the promise we made to each other? Not to take any risks more than necessary?”

She studied her feet a long moment before nodding.

“I suspect whatever you have done or plan to do I would consider a violation of our agreement.”

She stared at the door and refused to answer.

“Vic…I’m not trying to clip your wings. But if Davy thinks he cannot keep you safe, then at least accept a better partner in crime.”

She sighed and almost placed her head on his chest. Upon a closer look at the filthy shirt, she stepped back, but stared up with resignation. “I would much rather you were my partner.”

“Believe me, now I know you are up to mischief, I will end this damn assignment as fast as I can.”

Her eyes filled with worry. “Don’t rush and put yourself in danger. I’m not involved in anything too serious. Davy is just an old woman.”

“Davy spent twenty years in one of the roughest prisons in England. He is not ‘an old woman.’” He sighed at her stubborn visage. “However, Davy is very fond of you and may be overprotective.”

 “He is.”

“Then use Jacko. The man is completely fearless and objective.”

Scuffing her shoe on the floor, she muttered, “All right.”

“And if a pirate objects to your plans, then I declare you in violation of our agreement and want your promise you will stop.”

I’m tired of telling my proper bio. So you get the improper bio.

Liza O’Connor was raised by feral cats, which explains a great deal, such as why she has no manners, is always getting in trouble, and doesn’t behave like a proper author and give you a proper bio.

She is highly unpredictable, both in real life and her stories, and presently is writing humorous romances. Please buy these books, because otherwise, she’ll become grumpy and write troubled novels instead. They will likely traumatize you.
