I discovered recently that Diane Saxon and I both had December releases with airplanes on the cover. Since then, I've been itching to do a flight comparison between Flight of Her Life and Delicious Delay.  Both books are available from all major Ebook retailers, and the buy links for Diane's new release in at the bottom of this post. Now, let's see if great minds actually do think alike.

Genre – Similarity Rating: Dejà Vu!
Our two books both slot perfectly under Contemporary Romance, Romantic Comedy, and Erotic Romance. Who would've thought?

Setting – Similarity Rating: Eerily Familiar
Our heroines are both stuck in airports. Bailey from Flight of Her Life is in JFK (New York) waiting for a flight to Houston. Michelle from Delicious Delay is in a Middle Eastern airport (inspired by AUH) on her way to JFK.

Cause of Delay – Similarity Rating: Polar Opposites
Bailey's plane is grounded due to an impending blizzard, and Michelle is stuck because it's too hot in the desert for a day-time take off.

Reason for Travel – Similarity Rating: Different Roads
Bailey is on her way to her own engagement party which I really hope she misses (judging from the excerpt). Michelle's life is a lot more boring–she's about to start a new job in New York.

Male Company – Similarity Rating: Two Worlds
Bailey runs into Sebastian, a cowboy from her past who tempts her with a trip to Maui. Michelle's only flight companion is Kal, an Arab playboy with a level of arrogance befitting a Sheikh.

Ultimate Destination – Similarity Rating: A Scorching Happily Ever After
Diane and I are both erotic romance authors, so we strive to guarantee you tangled limbs, sultry kisses, and enough romance to evoke a sigh of pleasure.

Flight of Her Life

Traveling from New York City to Houston to meet her future in-laws and announce her engagement, accident prone Bailey finds herself in a situation beyond her control. All flights are cancelled the night before Christmas Eve, leaving Bailey stranded at the airport with a cowboy from her past.

Against all odds, Sebastian manages to rescue Bailey from one disaster after another, but is it too late to rescue her from her future?

Faced with a heartrending dilemma, does Bailey turn her back on the man who offers her a life of security, or does she run off to Maui with a cowboy?
