Science Fiction and Fantasy Saturday No. 7 (#sffsat) - Warlock's Pawn

So I made a boo boo (*blushes*...sorry!) two weeks ago and signing up completely slipped my mind last week. But I'm now back to my much more respectable and responsible self. Since quite a few people already bought Tower in the Woodswhich incidentally is now available at B&N for 5% off, I thought it best to switch to my upcoming release. For past snippets of Tower in the Woods, click on the SFFSat tag at the bottom of this post. Warlock's Pawn is a fantasy (e) romance inspired by The Arabian Nights (emphasis on the "e"). It will be released on Amazon and ARe on March 18th, and it will probably show up at other locations approximately a month after.

This snippet starts at the very beginning.

“The warlock’s life is in your hands,” Alia heard the priestess say as they both gazed into the night. From the pinnacle of the temple’s tower, she had a clear line of sight to the Dionian palace. Her fey blood allowed her to see much farther than any human, which was how she came to bear witness to the crime that would one day bring down this desert kingdom. Despite foreseeing what was to come, her pointed ears twitched as she strained to hear words spoken by the sister she’d never known. Part of her clung to the hope that her visions would not come to pass—that Anora would pause at the cliff’s precipice and not murder the last living warlock in this realm.
