Science Fiction and Fantasy Saturday No. 28 (#sffsat) - Warlock's Pawn - #FantasyRomance
/Full-time language training made my brain all mushy, so I forgot to sign up last week.
This snippet is from Warlock's Pawn and continues from the last one (click on the SFFSat tag at the bottom of the post to read past snippets). Warlock's Pawn is a fantasy romance inspired by The Arabian Nights. It is available on LSBooks, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ARe, Kobo, and a few other places.
In the previous post, we learned a bit more about the Warlock-Fey history.
"What do you ask? What is the payment you demand for saving the life of the Ruler of Helicon?” he questioned as he bent his head to her proffered wrist and brushed his lips against her palm.
“I ask that you be merciful,” she said as he drew in her life force, and pure white magic seeped through his body to undo all that Anora’s poison had wrought. With the bond came an understanding of words that need not be spoken, of a request made by a being who knew too well how this war would end.
It's a bit short this time since I wanted to end on a cliffhanger.
SFFSat is a group of writers sharing snippets from both published and unpublished works of science fiction and fantasy. You can read more about the group by clicking the banner to the left, as well as follow links to the other participants. Any comments are much appreciated!
